System provides us with a visibility of traffic distribution and statistics among different faculties, schools and libraries, and different services which the Computer centre provides. “CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) of Serbian National Research and Academic Network (AMRES) uses ICmyNet.Flow system for detection of anomalies and irregularities in the network traffic. Our network is infrastructure and service provider for universities, research institutes and the science community. Different scanning and reconnaissance attacks coming from outside or inside of our network can be easily detected on ICmyNet.Flow traffic Graphs. Denial-of-Service attacks, virus or worms activities can also be withheld with a timely detection. We can also identify bandwidth abuse or usage of P2P software which violates AUP (Acceptable Use Policy) of our organization. Using the ICmyNet.Flow system makes the security tickets resolving an easy task.”
